Helping Hands of Paulding County offers assistance to residents of Paulding County, Georgia.

Clients wishing to receive assistance from Helping Hands are required to register and provide verification documentation. The following items are a partial list of items needed:

It is the Client's responsibility to provide all documents listed below to Helping Hands in a timely manner – your application will not progress until the information is provided. Burden of VERIFIABLE PROOF belongs with the client.

DOCUMENTS TO OPEN A HELPING HANDS CLIENT FILE: MUST BE PAULDING COUNTY RESIDENT, LOW INCOME – 150% OF FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL.

• Application must be completed and readable
• Pathways Authorization Form for all in the household
• Picture ID & Social Security Cards for ALL in the household
• Proof of ALL household income
  -  Last 4 consecutive weeks (Zero Income Statement )
  • Pay Stubs
  • Social Security Income Award Letter
  • SSI & Disability Income Award Letter
  • Veteran's Benefits
  • Retirement Benefits
  • Unemployment
  • Food Stamps Award Letter
• Proof of residence (bring each visit) – current utility bill in your name

If needing financial assistance you must include the following documents – completing an application does not guarantee that you will receive assistance.

GUIDELINES FOR ELIGIBILITY:

• Client must be a Paulding County Resident.
• $$$ = Monthly household income must be equal to monthly household expenses.
• Client/Household can only receive financial assistance through Helping Hands once in a 12 month period.
• Client must have lived at their current address 6 months or longer.
• Clients name must be on the lease or bill.
• ONLY financial assistance considered is rental, gas, lights, and water.
• Deposits, late charges and other administrative fees are not covered.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (in addition to the list above):

• Statement of Crisis, Emergency and/or Circumstances
• Last 3 (three) Months Banks Statements showing transactions
• ALL current Monthly Household expenses
  • Current Lease
  • Current Monthly Expenses – ALL ITEMIZED BILLS
    Lights, gas, water, car payment, car insurance, child support, loans, rent/mortgage, telephone, Life insurance, prescriptions, etc.

Note: Registration and verification of documentation is required annually.
